This is advanced professional and/or supervisory psychological work involving responsibilities for assessment and therapeutic applications.  

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist for full-time position working in acute inpatient and residential units of Hawthorn Children's Psychiatric Hospital to provide individual, group and family therapy and psych diagnostic evaluations for children/adolescents ages 6-18. We invite applicants with the following:  

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology

considerable experience in inpatient and/or residential setting and with clients with severe and acute mental illness

Trauma-informed treatment experience

Objective and projective assessment competency and experience

Trauma treatment experience in EMDR, TFCBT, or other protocols highly desirable

DBT treatment experience highly desirable

Experience with Autism Spectrum population highly desirable

Family therapy experience or family systems orientation desirable

Additional areas of expertise welcome as well

Possession of a doctoral degree from an accredited university with major specialization in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school or education psychology; and completion of one year of post-doctoral psychology experience under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. (Special requirement: possession of a current license as a psychologist in the State of Missouri at the time of appointment.)
